David Spell was named the NJCAA Region IV Division III Player of the Week, for the week of Feb. 10-16. David scored a career-high 28 points and season-high 14 rebounds in the Chaparrals' 83-72 victory over Joliet, which coincided with Sophomore Night. Then, in the season finale at Rock Valley, he scored 15 points with five rebounds in a 78-55 loss. David led the Chaparrals this season in scoring (15.2 ppg) and rebounds (8.1 rpg).
