All-American Carmen Solis became the first Chaparral to win the NJCAA D3 individual title, running the 5,000-m championship course in a PR 19:00.4 and winning by nearly 30 seconds in suburban Richmond, Va., on Nov. 9. Solis led the Chaps to a fourth-place finish.
