Box Score CHICAGO — A one-sided game favored the Chaparrals in their 9-0 victory over host Malcolm X College on Tuesday afternoon in Region IV men's soccer.
 
Leading the way
Seven Chaparrals scored goals and they were led by Sebastian Nimako and Javier Lujan, who two goals apiece. Also scoring tallies were Alfredo Jaimes, Emrah Suljanovic, Best Emena, Bryce Kent and Sean O'Leary.
 
Handing out assists
Nimako factored on four goals as he also had two assists. Emena also had two assists. Eduardo Gomez, Suljanovic, Ricardo Corral,  Miguel Vargas and Jaimes each assisted on a goal.
 
Significance of the victory
The Chaparrals evened their record at 8-8 after winning their sixth straight game. The Chaps have outscored the opposition 31-1 in those six contests.
 
Super Mario
Goalkeeper Mario Giase earned the shutout with three saves.
 
What's next?
The Chaps are at College of Lake County on Thursday and close the regular season Saturday at Waubonsee College.
