It took everyone on the Chaps' roster to pull out a 3-2 victory over Rock Valley in N4C volleyball Thursday night.

After dropping the first set 25-13, the Chaps came roaring back in their 25-22, 23-25, 27-25, 15-5 victory. It improved their overall record 4-13 overall and snapped their five-match losing streak with a thud.

"I'm really proud of our effort tonight,'' Chaps coach
Tolis Koskinaris said. "After a drubbing in the first set, we fought back so hard. And to win in the fifth set by that wide of margin is a credit to our girls. Good for them.''

Natalie Payne led the way for the Chaps with 18 kills on a .268 attack percentage.
Brili Presbrey followed with 15 kills. The Chaps totaled 52 kills for the match.

Leading 26-25 in the fifth,
Melody Raices ripped one of three service aces on the night for the set winner.

And in the fifth, the Chaps stretched a 6-2 lead into an 11-3 advantage before ending the Golden Eagles' night.

The Chaps are off until Tuesday night when they play host to Aurora University's JV. First serve is 6 p.m.
