Chaps snap losing streak

Box Score Sebastian Nimanko scored the Chaparrals' first three goals, and teammate Best Emena added another as the Chaps scored their most goals in a game this season in their 4-0 win over visiitng Carl Sandburg College on Wednesday at Bjarne Ullsvik Stadium.

Nimanko's hat trick
The sophomore gave the Chaps the lead on a 30-yard boot after he drew the Chargers' GK out of the box in the 29th minute. He then padded the lead on a one-on-one play with just 14 seconds remaining in the half. And then, just 33 seconds into the second half, he earned his third goal on a breakaway.

At his Best
Emena gave the Chaps a 4-0 lead in the 69th minute when the Chaps set up after a Chargers' foul. Teammate Emrah Suljanovic earned an assist.

Also assisting
Emena was credited with two assists for the game and Alfredo Jaimes also earned one.

And on the shutout
Freshman GK Mario Giase had four saves for his first collegiate shutout.

What's next?
The Chaps (2-5), who snapped their five-game losing streak, are at Moraine Valley on Saturday. Kickoff is noon.
