Chaps dealt 2-1 loss

Box Score A late second-half goal was the difference maker in the Chaparrals' 2-1 loss to visiting Prairie State in Region 4 men's soccer Tuesday afternoon at Bjarne Ullsvik Stadium.

The Chaparrals (2-7 overall) remain home Thursday when they take on Morton College. Kickoff is 4 p.m.

Sophomore Best Emena gave the Chaps a 1-0 lead in the 19th minute when he made the most from a feed from Eduardo Gomez. Emena made a beautiful spin move between two Pioneers and went far right for the goal.

Prairie State tied the game in the 32nd minute from Antonio Leal, who then scored the game-winner in the 69th minute.

The Chaps totaled four shots, but did not have an SOG in the second half.
