A 13-game losing streak went by the wayside Wednesday night as the host Chaparrals grabbed the lead from the beginning and defeated Wright College 76-45 in N4C play.

Jaylyn Grant played all 40 minutes, scored 30 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for the Chaps (4-14, 1-2), who scored their most points in two months. They are now 4-0 when they score at least 60 points.

Alex Rucinski, who played for the Chaps two seasons ago, followed with 26 and 11 rebounds.
Jessica Schoder added 13 points with six rebounds.
Jordan Buchelt had five and
Isabel Cary scored two.

The Chaps, who shot 56 percent in the opening quarter led by as many as 17 points in the first half and held a 32-23 advantage at halftime. They outrebounded the Rams 55-38.
