Caleb DeBoer, finished third Friday during the Heartland CC Invite.
Caleb DeBoer led the Chaps, covering the 8,000-meter Maxwell Park course in 28 minutes, 38.16 seconds.
Sebastian Esparza was 14
th (29:11.02), while
Erik Ojeda (18

Anthony Eddy (19
th) also earned top-20 finishes.
"Those four ran well together and it's reflected in our finish,'' Chaps head coach
Robert Cervenka said. "We were the top D3 team today and that's a goal that we strive at each meet.''
Host Heartland won with 33 points, followed by Carl Sandburg, COD, Joliet, Kaskaskia and College of Lake County.
The Chaps next compete in two weeks at Bradley.
