A crushing 5-set loss to top-seed and No. 1-ranked Rock Valley ended the Chaps' season Saturday afternoon in the NJCAA Region IV final.
 
Alyssa Fountain led the Chaps with 16 kills in the 25-21, 29-27, 19-25, 17-25, 9-15 loss to the Golden Eagles. Grace Franz followed with 15 kills and Jessica Juerke had 11.
 
The fifth-set match was the Chaps' third against RVC this season.
 
The Chaps ended the year 21-13 overall and were ranked eighth in the final regular-season NJCAA poll. It marked the program's first winning season since 2017.

Fountain, Franz named All Tournament
All-Region standouts Alyssa Fountain and Grace Franz were named to the NJCAA Region IV All-Tournament squad. The two Chaparrals were joined by Rock Valley's Addison Metts, Samantha Ingram and Madison Perry, Harper's Jules Carusiello and Madison's Jalyn Holman.
