Freshman Mykah Berkompas led the Chaps with a triple-double Friday night in their 78-41 victory over visiting Wilbur Wright College in Region 4 women's basketball.
 
Berkompas scored 21 points with 10 rebounds and 10 assists, and teammate Makenna Brown added 19 in a game the Chaps never trailed. They hit 69 percent from the field in the first quarter, hitting 11 of 16 shots, and led 26-8. They pushed the lead to 41-15 at the break.
 
Katlyn Allen and Marquita Gardner each scored 13 for COD, which finished the night hitting 47.2 percent from the field (34-of-72).
 
Nya Jones, who scored eight points, and Gardner each had nine boards. Allen had nine assists.
 
The Chaps, now 1-3 overall, are at Elgin on Tuesday night.
