The majority of Saturday's game between the Chaparrals and Moraine Valley was played on COD's offensive end, but a lone Cyclone goal was the difference in a 1-0 loss in Region 4 women's soccer.
 
Jacki Casas and Morgan Clifford each totaled five shots with three on-goal, and Summer Garcia and AnnMarie Ahrens each had three shots with one on-goal.
 
GK Amanda Smith had four saves.
 
"Thought we dominated with our offense, but we just couldn't get one in,'' Chaparrals coach Zac Ludwig said. "We played well, it doesn't show on the scoreboard.''
 
The Chaps (1-3 overall) play host to South Suburban on Wednesday, with kickoff scheduled for 5 p.m .
