ELMHURST — The Elmhurst Invitational has been run 33 times in its history and is known for honoring the top 20 runners in each event with a t-shirt.

Robert Cervenka's tenure, a Chaparral ended the day adorned with new apparel.
Freshman
Lillian Buzani finished 14
th in the 4,000-meter race at Eldridge Park on Friday night, running 16 minutes and 30.9 seconds in competition dominated by four-year schools.
"Lillian ran a great, smart tactical race,'' Cervenka said. "A good night of running from everyone.''
Belle Adduci was 23
rd in 16:49.2 as the women finished 5
th with 156 points.
For the men, freshmen
Caleb DeBoer led the way on the 6,000-meter course, running 21:10 and finishing 44
th.
The men were sixth.
"Our top three were within 25 seconds of each other and that's another good start,'' Cervenka said.
The Chaps next compete at Olivet Nazarene on Sept. 17.
