The Chaps scored 49 first-half points and held on for their first victory of the season with a 94-81 win at Richard Daley on Thursday.
Matt Elliott scored a career-high 30 points with three 3-pointers and
Drew Gaston added 24 for COD, now 1-3 overall heading into Tuesday night's home game against Elgin. Both had double-doubles as Elliott had 13 boards and Gaston 11.
COD outscored Daley 49-34 in the opening 20 minutes and finished 51.4 percent from the floor.
