"The growth they've shown over the last seven games is noticeable,'' head coach
Abigail Talley said. "I thought we played very well for 20 minutes. There's a lot of energy on the court and in practice, and the confidence by playing well together and improving is there.''
Â
The Chaps trailed 33-29 at halftime, and bounced back by taking the lead through three with a 20-point third quarter.
Â
"We built a 10-point lead and they came back on us,'' Talley said. "That's a pretty good team we played and we were right there.''
Â
Gibson led the Chaps with 19 points along with 10 rebounds, and Havard scored 13 with 10 boards.
Mykah Berkompas and
Katlyn Allen each scored 11.
