The Chaparrals concluded their season Friday night as host and No. 1 seed Rock Valley College dealt the fourth-seeded Chaps a 74-52 loss in the NJCAA Region 4 semifinals.

Freshman
Mykah Berkompas paced the Chaps with a team-high 22 points. She played all 40 minutes and shot 7 of 23 from the floor and was perfect in six attempts at the free throw line. She grabbed six rebounds and led the Chaps in steals with seven. For the season, she averaged 17.8 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.9 assists a game. She scored at least 20 points in 10 games.

Makenna Brown finished her season with a 13-point, 9-rebound effort against the Golden Eagles. For the season, she averaged 15.4 points and. 12.9 rebounds a game. Her rebound average ranks sixth among Division 3 players. And she had 13 double-doubles for the year.

Rock Valley held the lead from beginning to end and led by as many as 37 points — 68-31 with 9:35 left in the fourth quarter. COD was held to just five field goals in the first half.
