Three up and three down says it all for the Chaparrals, who have opened the 2022 season with three straight wins in their annual Ripken Experience Spring trip to Myrtle Beach.

The Chaps opened the season Saturday with a 14-3, 9-2 sweep against Rochester (Minn.) Community TC and then added a 4-3 walk-off victory over Penn State DuBois on Sunday.

COD faces Northampton (Mass.) CC on Tuesday.

Chaps 14, Rochester 3
- A 7-run, 7-hit second inning put the game in control
- A.J. Taylor led off the game with a home run to left
- Dan Gusel came through with a 3-run HR in the third
- Jeremy Conforti and Lucas Hansen each drove in 3 runs
- The Chaps dominated with a 17-hit attack
- Taylor went 4-for-4, followed by Conforti (3-4), Hansen (3-4) and Kyle Fenner (3-4)

Chaps 9, Rochester 2
- Tied at 2-2, the Chaps came through with power to win going away
- Carson Roberts broke the tie with a 3-run HR in the 5th
- Conforti provided distance against the Yellow Jackets with a grand slam in the 6th

- Anthony Raineri threw 4 1/3 innings with 5 strikeouts

- Lucas Hansen's ground ball to deep short brought in Kyle Fenner for the walk-off win
- Conforti's one-out single scored Taylor to tie the game at 3 in the seventh
- Back-to-back run-scoring singles from Conforti and Vickers in the first gave COD a 2-0 lead
- Vickers had the Chaps' only extra-base hit, a lead-off double in the sixth
- Justin Lane made his season debut, throwing 5 innings, giving up just one hit with four strikeouts
- Joe Titone got the victory in one inning of relief
