COD pushed its winning streak to four Friday afternoon with a pivotal sixth inning in its 9-4 win over visiting Waubonsee CC in Region IV play.

The Chaps (10-2 overall) also have won six of their last seven as they prepare for their weekend series against Madison. The doubleheader, originally scheduled for Saturday, will be Sunday at COD. First pitch is 1 p.m.

The big 6th inning
Down 4-1, the Chaps sent 12 batters to the plate and scored six runs on five hits.
A.J. Taylor's two-run single with one out cut the deficit to one, and three batters later,
Lucas Hansen ripped a bases-clearing double to left to give the Chaps their lead for good.

Win Ben Stein(er's) money
The third baseman went 3-for-3 with a pair of walks, and Taylor joined his teammate with three hits. Steiner also drove in a run.

Joe Cosenza and
Carson Roberts each had two hits with Roberts connecting on a run-scoring double in the third.

Seth Borden threw five innings and did not factor in the decision. He struck out five, walked one and gave up five hits.
Evan Ryan earned the win in one inning of relief. All told, Chaps' pitchers combined to strike out eight.
