Unranked College of DuPage took to the road Tuesday at Joliet and delivered a message with a sweep against the No. 8 Wolves, 13-6 and 15-5 in Region 4 softball.
 
COD, now 11-3 overall, plays host to Harper on Friday afternoon with first pitch at 3 p.m. at Sark Park.
 
Game 1: Chaparrals 13, No. 8 Joliet 6

• The Chaps scored 12 unanswered runs after trailing 5-1 through three innings to win the opener
• Lindsey Onnezi and Katlyn Allen each homered for the Chaps
• Carlee Baker led in hits with three doubles
• Cassie Bogacz, Paige Jahaske and Onnezi each drove in two runs
• Sierra Gibson contributed a triple
• LHP Chloe Warren struck out two and scattered 10 hits for the victory

 
Game 2: Chaparrals 15, No. 8 Joliet JC 5 5 innings

• COD scored in every inning, striking with five runs in the third and fifth to win going away
• Abby Collins led at the plate, connecting on a two-run single in the third and a two-run double in the fifth
• Kelsey Warren and Raquel Procopio each had three hits
• Bogacz drove in three runs
• Kayla Smiley delivered a two-run HR in the fourth
• Amber Dasenbrock had a pair of hits, and on the mound, struck out seven with just three hits allowed in her four innings
