A pair of second-half goals scored within a seven-minute span cost the Chaps in their 2-0 loss to Carl Sandburg on Sunday in Region 4 men's soccer.

The Chaps dropped to 1-2-3 overall entering Wednesday night's game at Joliet.

Tied at 0-0 at halftime and with COD playing perhaps its best defense of the season, the visiting Chargers broke through in the 48th minute and again seven minutes later.

COD had three shots on goal — two from Archie Murphy and one from Jacob Sarabia.

Sam Negus had five saves.
