Freshman Archie Murphy scored two goals within a minute early in the second half, and then added another as visiting College of DuPage defeated Waubonsee 3-1 in Region 4 men's soccer Saturday afternoon.
 
The Chaps, who improved to 1-1-2 overall, are at always-tough South Suburban on Wednesday. Kickoff is 3 p.m.
 
COD mustered four shots on goal in the first half, but came up empty as both teams went scoreless in the opening 45 minutes.
 
Murphy scored his first two goals on assists from Jacob Sarabia. His first came on a header in the 54^th minute, and the second on a high shot that outside of the goal keeper's reach.
 
Murphy delivered his final goal of the day in the 78^th minute.
 
Sam Negus had five saves on the day for the victory.
