Freshman Harvey Pozo earned a goal in his first collegiate appearance, but it wasn't enough as the visiting Chaparrals were dealt a 5-1 loss at Heartland CC on Sunday afternoon.
 
The Chaps (0-1 overall) are at fellow Region 4 foe Harper on Wednesday.
 
COD faced a 3-0 deficit at halftime and the hosts padded the lead to a five-goal differential before Pozo found himself with a SOG, thanks to a feed from Samuel Glogovsky in the 84^th minute.
 
The Chaps were out-shot 24-5.
