Chaps earn All-Region Honors

Daca named Region IV Player of the Year

DuPage, the Region IV volleyball champions, recently earned multiple All-Region honors in a vote completed by region coaches.

Sophomore middle hitter Megan Daca earned the region's top honor, being named Player of the Year. Sophomore libero Frankie Brandonisio was also tabbed All-Region for her performance this season, and Chaps head coach Tolis Koskinaris was named Region IV Coach of the Year after leading DuPage to its second straight region title, a 25-12 record, and the No. 6 seed in the 2025 NJCAA Division III Volleyball Championships.

Megan Daca (Glen Ellyn, Glenbard South High School)
Glen Ellyn's very own ranks fifth in the region in hitting percentage at .321 this season. Daca also ranks fifth in block assists with 87 and 10th in total blocks with 102. A well-rounded offensive and defensive presence for the Chaps, she has totaled 201 kills and 15 solo blocks in her Player of the Year campaign.

Head coach Tolis Koskinaris on Daca's achievement:
"She wants to go the next level, and this is a great recognition for her. I think she still has some goals and unfinished business this season, but this was a good acknowledgment of all the hard work that she's put in this year."

Frankie Brandonisio (Sugar Grove, Kaneland High School)
A two-time All-Region IV selection, Brandonisio ranks fourth in service aces with 100 and 12th in digs with 502, making her a well-rounded threat for the Chaps. She also leads the region in service aces per set at 0.79. On Sept. 19 against Dallas College Cedar Valley, Brandonisio served the elusive "perfect set," delivering 25 straight serves to secure a 25-0 victory for DuPage, along with 10 service aces.

Head coach Tolis Koskinaris on Brandonisio's achievement:
"Frankie is our team spiritual leader. She works hard at it, and she's improved her mechanics this year. No doubt one of the spark plugs for the team, and I expect her to go out with her best volleyball down the stretch."

Koskinaris also earned Region IV Coach of the Year honors. Assistant coach Frank Martinez said he wasn't surprised: "Tolis is very deserving individual. Always working hard for others, and always working to see others advance in their goals. So to see him continue to achieve his goals is awesome."

The Chaps are preparing for their trip to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, as the No. 6 seed in the 2025 Division III Volleyball Championships. First-round play begins Nov. 13 at 9 a.m.
