With about 20 minutes to go in the second half against Harper College on Wednesday afternoon, the Chaps undefeated start to the season looked to be in jeopardy. 

Down 1-0, but applying pressure to the Harper defense the entire second half, the Chaps finally broke through with two goals in 6 minutes to defeat Harper by a score of 2-1 in a thrilling come-from-behind victory on Wednesday afternoon at Bjarne Ullsvik Stadium on the COD campus. The win lifted the Chaps record to 4-0 on the season, with all four games being decided by one goal. 

Harper started the game strong and had the host Chaps back on their heels, before finally putting one past goalkeeper Sam Eaton for a 1-0 lead with 11 minutes remaining in the first half. That was the lone score of the first half for both teams as DuPage went into halftime trailing 1-0.

The Chaps came out much stronger in the second half before Ayan Sheikh put in the equalizer for his first goal of the year with just over 18 minutes to go to even the match at 1-1. Just about 6 minutes later, Jason Hufnagle put home a rebound to give DuPage a 2-1 lead. 

Harper stepped up their pressure and had a couple of chances to tie the game, but the Chaps defense held, led by an amazing save by Eaton with just over 5 minutes to go to preserve the lead and the victory for DuPage. 

Coach Matt Hanna loved what he saw from his team in the second half. " Harper came out really strong in the first half. We weren't happy with our performance and knew we could improve in the 2nd half. I am very happy with the response from our players and to continue our strong start to the season." 

The Chaps will get their next chance to extend their winning streak on Sunday morning as they will host Black Hawk College at 11:00 AM as the first game of a men's and women's home soccer doubleheader at COD.
