As a Chaparral in 2018: Made seven appearances in 5 innings … Faced 24 batters with five strikeouts … One of 17 Chaparrals named an NJCAA Academic Student-Athlete Award recipient and one of six named to a first team.

At Glenbard East HS: Played varsity baseball for coach Joel Pelland … Helped team win the 2016 Upstate Eight conference title … Also, a 2016 Upstate Eight Academic All-Conference, 2017 Upstate Eight Academic All-Conference and 2017 Illinois State Scholar.

Personal: Son of Ron and Dawn Novak … An accounting major with aspirations of becoming a CPA … Enjoys playing golf … Loves the Cubs and listens to the Zac Brown Band … Never gets tired of watching The Sandlot.
