Matt Gould begins his first season as an assistant coach for the Chaps in 2023.
The Naperville native is responsible for offense and working with catchers, in addition to practice responsibilities.
Matt played college baseball at Jefferson College (2016) in Hillsboro, Mo., before playing at North Carolina Greensboro for two seasons (2017-18) under current Florida State head coach Link Jarrett.
He played his high school baseball at Neuqua Valley HS and earned his bachelor’s degree in general studies from the University of Iowa in 2020.
He spent three seasons coaching travel baseball with the Naperville Renegades and continues serving as a baseball instructor.
