Pat Leahy, who began his college baseball career here at COD, begins his first year as head coach of the College of DuPage baseball program in 2025-2026. In 2024-2025, Coach Leahy led the Chaps to a record of 18-27 as interim head coach and a #2 seed in the NJCC Region 4 baseball tournament.Â
Coach Leahy was also an assistant and 3rd base coach for the 2024 COD baseball squad, who captured their first region 4 baseball title in over twenty years and finished 4th at the NJCAAÂ Division III World Series.Â
Leahy played two seasons as an outfielder for the Chaparrals (2017-18) and completed his playing career at NCAA D3 member Maryville (2019-21), while studying physical education.
A Wheaton native and Wheaton North alum, Leahy spent four seasons coaching travel ball with the Chicago Select and continues as a baseball instructor.
