Former Chaparral pitcher/infielder Tyler Fletcher returns to COD for his first season as an assistant coach in 2023.
Fletcher, who was an All-Region and N4C honoree in 2006 for the Chaps, completed his playing career at St. Ambrose in Davenport, Iowa, (2007-08), where he earned his bachelor’s degree.
He spent several years in corporate sales before embarking on a coaching career. He spent last season as hitting coach at IHSA champion Joliet Catholic High School and served as pitching coach for the summer collegiate Northwoods League’s Rockford Rivets.
The father of two daughters — Nora and Lucy — Tyler is a Downers Grove native and Downers Grove North HS graduate.
