William Anderson begins his sixth season as head coach and his ninth overall for the Chaparrals men’s basketball program in 2021-22. He served as an assistant coach to Dr. Earl Reed, beginning in the 2013-14 season and took over the head position in 2016-17.
Anderson is in his 22nd year as an educator at East Aurora High School in technology education. He also has coached boys varsity basketball at LeRoy High School, East Aurora HS and Rockford Jefferson HS, and coached girls varsity basketball and track and field at East Aurora HS.
An Indianapolis native, he is a graduate of Illinois State University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in technology industry in 1987. He earned his master’s degree in teaching and learning at Nova Southeastern University, and his administrative license-Type-75 at Aurora University.
