College of DuPage Athletics

Former Chaparral Best Emena joined the College of DuPage coaching staff at the start of the Fall 2024 season.

Emena, who emigrated from the DR Congo, attended Glenbard North High School and played at COD in 2018-19. He served as captain his sophomore season and earned All-Region 4 honors after leading the Chaps in assists and scoring 11 goals.

He continued his playing career at NCAA Divison I University of Incarnate Word in San Antonio. At UIW, he was a key and consistent player in the midfield, and later played professionally in Australia.

In addition to his coaching duties at COD, Emena also coaches for Wheaton United Soccer Club and does private training for individual players. Emena is dedicated to honing his coaching skills and helping young athletes improve their performance, while also pursuing his coaching licenses.
