College of DuPage Athletics

Matt Hanna begins his first season as the head coach of both the men's and women's soccer teams at College of Dupage.  2025 will mark his first year as men's head coach and his third season as head women's soccer coach in 2025, after serving as an assistant in 2022 and a men's assistant from 2021-2024.

Originally from Sydney, Australia, Matt has a wealth of experience within the game, with a coaching career spanning more than 15 years. Most recently before arriving at College of DuPage, Hanna worked with community clubs as a coach mentor for volunteer coaches. Prior to that, he worked alongside Western Sydney Wanderers in Australia, delivering a wide range of community-based programs.

Hanna graduated university with a degree in health science and sports development. He continues his professional development here in the United States, recently completing his US Soccer D License and is working toward his C License.

Hanna has dedicated his career to improving the experience for as many youth players as possible. That continues through coaching at the college level, with the aim of helping his players to be successful, both on and off the pitch.
