Mike Bona begins his first season as the Associate Head Coach of the men's and women's soccer teams after two season as an assistant coach for the COD women’s soccer program and one season of holding the role of recruiting coordinator for men's soccer in 2024.
Mike holds more than 20 years of coaching experience, with the majority of time spent coaching youth clubs in the greater Detroit area. His experiences coaching nationally recognized clubs that include the MI Wolves-Hawks, AC Milan Detroit, MI Rush as their Jr. Academy Director.
He has coached at the high school level, and also four years at his alma mater, Schoolcraft College, where the Ocelots won two NJCAA regional championships and participated in the NJCAA national tournament.
Mike played two seasons at Schoolcraft before transferring to Hope College in Holland, Mich., where he earned his bachelor’s degree in elementary education. Mike’s coaching education and licensing includes his USSF C License, along with other continuing education certificates from the likes of AC Milan and Coerver coaching.
