Michelle Stratton is in her second year as an assistant coach for cross country and track and field. In her first season (2021), she was named the USTFCCCA national assistant coach of the year for both men's and women's track and field teams, after each won the NJCAA Division III title.
Michelle is a graduate of the University of Illinois, where she ran the 3,000 and 5,000 for the Illini and earned both her bachelor's in kinesiology and master's in exercise physiology.
She brings an extensive amount of coaching experience to COD, after working the last 10-plus years as a personal trainer, endurance coach and strength and conditioning coach in the Chicagoland area. She has coached multiple NJCAA D3 cross country and track and field All-Americans, Boston Marathon qualifiers, Ironman finishers and USAT national championship qualifiers.
In her spare time, the Naperville native competes as an elite amateur athlete, most recently winning the national title in her age group for the sprint distance triathlon and placing second in the Olympic-distance triathlon at the USAT Age Group National Championships in 2021.
