College of DuPage Equipment Manager Layne Engel began her association with Chaparral Athletics as a softball player in the fall of 2009. The Naperville native has gone on to become a valued member of the department.
Her responsibilities include: oversight of equipment and supplies for all COD Athletic teams, game management, managing PE assignments, scheduling facilities, and assisting in athletic budgets
Layne played two years of softball for the Chaparrals (2010-11), and later served as a volunteer assistant from 2014-17.
She is a COD graduate and is completing her bachelor’s degree at Columbia Southern.
