Jessica Jnobaptiste led the Chaparrals with 12 points, but a critical third quarter was the difference as visiting College of Lake County defeated COD 53-43 on Saturday afternoon at the COD Arena.

The Chaparrals, now 3-10, finish the 2018 portion of the season on Tuesday night against nationally-ranked Moraine Valley. Tipoff is 5 p.m.

Difference maker
The Chaparrals led at halftime, 22-21, after holding the Lancers to just nine second-quarter points. But the third quarter belonged to College of Lake County, which outscored the Chaps 24-11 and led 45-32. The Chaparrals trailed by as many as 15 points before they narrowed the gap.

Dakota Graham scored six of her eight points in the final quarter.
Lea Richie scored four of her eight points in the final 7:25 of the game.

COD outrebounded the Lancers, 45-31 with 19 offensive rebounds. Graham led with 12 boards and  Jnobaptiste had 10 rebounds to go with her 12 points.
