College of DuPage played from behind for the full 40 minutes Thursday night and could not get past visiting Rock Valley in a 68-59 loss in N4C men's play.

The Golden Eagles grabbed control from the outset, outscoring the Chaps 15-0 in the first four minutes of play and never trailed.
Donnell Fraley helped stop the skid by scoring seven of his 11 points, keying an 18-7 run that brought the Chaps to within four, 22-18 with 8:25 left in the half.

Rock Valley, which led 34-24 at the break, remained in control and did not allow the Chaparrals to close within two possessions of the lead for the entire second half.

David Spell led the Chaps with 25 points on 10 of 21 shooting. He also had 13 rebounds, five assists and two blocks in 35 minutes.
Jason Peace, this week's Region IV Player of the Week, had 13 points and five rebounds. Fraley had five boards.

Reginald Smith scored two.

Nana Kodom-Ayensu led the Golden Eagles, now 14-4, 4-2, with a game-high 27 points.
