Box Score RIVER GROVE — Patrick Shaughnessy provided College of DuPage with an outside threat in its N4C opener, scoring 14 points with three 3-pointers in the Chaparrals' 99-56 loss a Triton on Thursday night.
Shaughnessy was 4 of 8 from the field, 3 of 4 on 3-pointers in 31 minutes for COD, now 1-12 on the season.
Khyre Hines was the only other Chaparral in double figures, scoring 11 points with four rebounds.
The Chaparrals hit 10 of 40 FGs in the first half and trailed 42-26 at the break. Triton extended the lead in the second half, thanks to a 54.5-percent shooting effort (24 for 44).
David Spell scored seven points for COD, while
Reginald Smith and
Evan Wagner-Talley each had six points.
The Chaparrals are at Milwaukee Area Technical on Saturday.
