Chaps end streak

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Freshman Natalie Payne led the Chaps with 12 kills in their 3-0 victory over visiting Triton in N4C play Tuesday night.
 
Maddie Shulski dealt six service aces as the Chaps snapped their eight-match losing streak with a resounding 25-9, 25-6, 26-24 win over the Trojans.
 
Mikayla Wassell added seven kills and Brili Presbrey six. Mariana Silva served three aces, while Halyn Balon and Melody Raices served up two.
 
Shulski had nine digs.
 
The Chaps are at Madison on Thursday night. Their next home match is Oct. 16 against Elgin.

Joliet match
The Chaps were defeated 3-1 at Joliet on Sept. 26. Mikayla Wassell led with 16 kills and Natalie Payne 14. Wassell added 10 digs, while Payne's two service aces and one solo block gave her 19 points on the evening.
