Box Score TOLEDO, Ohio (Oct. 12, 2019) — A 17-point fourth quarter allowed Nassau (N.Y.) Community College to defeat the Chaparrals 37-34 in NJCAA football Saturday played at the University of Toledo.
The Chaps' ground game was on full display as they rushed for 425 yards on 37 attempts.
Isaiah Nwokenkwo led with 175 yards on just 11 carries and one touchdown.
Lavale Hills also surpassed the 100-yard mark with 105 yards on 15 carries.
Benjamin Little Jr. nearly made it a trifecta with 90 yards on seven carries and two TDs.
The Chaps led 27-14 at halftime and increased their lead to 34-20 entering the fourth quarter.
Quarterback
Brayden Miller threw for 181 yards on 13 of 21 passing with one TD and two INTs. Little threw for 34 yards on two of three attempts. Wide receiver Luke Junkrowski had four receptions for 68 yards.
Lazerick Eatman caught one touchdown with two receptions for 47 yards.
Defensive back
Camron Harrell led the Chaps in solo tackles with 10 and finished with 11 total tackles. Linebacker
Nathan Clark had 14 total tackles (six solo, eight assisted) and
Thomas Fraling III had 12 tackles with seven solos.
Anthony Fordham Jr. had six solos.
The Chaps, now 3-4 overall, are at home the next two weeks. They face Carthage Junior Varsity on Sunday. Kickoff is 2 p.m. at Bjarne Ullsvik Stadium.
