Two sizeable scoring runs were the difference makers in the Chaps' 70-58 loss to visiting Kennedy-King College in NJCAA Region IV women's basketball Thursday night.

Jaylyn Grant again led the Chaps in scoring with 20 points on 5-of-20 shooting. She was effective at the free throw line, hitting 10 of 12 shots.
Nichele Lodree his five 3-pointers and finished with 16 points.

Kennedy-King used an 11-0 run midway in the first half to gain control as it led 32-27 at the half. Then in the third quarter, the Statesmen built a 14-point lead when they outscored the Chaps 11-1 in five-minute span.
