AURORA (Nov. 3, 2019) — The Chaparrals made strong use of their ground game against Aurora JV on Sunday, rushing for 323 yards in their 46-6 victory.
 
D'Onte Gholston led the Chaps, now 6-4 overall, with 106 yards on just five rushes. Both Lavale Hill and Leslie Nartey gained 45 yards and Benjamin Little Jr. gained 36 yards.
 
Quarterback Tom Vatter threw for 140 yards on 8 of 13 passing. Brayden Miller was 1 for 5 for 5 yards. Wide receiver Jaden Lacy had two receptions for 104 yards and Tarik Williams also had two receptions for 24 yards.
 
The Chaps never trailed and led 27-0 at halftime. They outscored the Spartans 19-6 in the second half.
 
Defensively, Jaelynn Blecke had one interception. Nathaniel Conner had two sacks and Elijah Addison and Joshua Mackenzie each had one.
 
The Chaps complete their regular season against Louisburg (N.C.) College on Saturday in a game played at Morehead State University in Morehead, Ky. Kickoff is noon EST.
