Warda Niaz's layup with four seconds left in the Chaparrals' game against Milwaukee Area TC won't be soon forgotten.

Niaz's effort came through and gave the Chaps a 51-50 victory over the Stormers, and more importantly ended the Chaps' 19-game losing streak. Not since Nov. 13 had the Chaps found themselves on the right side of the scoreboard.

The game featured nine lead changes and six ties until the Chaps (4-19, 1-8 N4C) earned control by overcoming a seven-point deficit.

The Chaps outscored the Stormers 15-8 in the third quarter and led 37-36.

Jessica Jnobaptiste led the Chaps with 14 points and Niaz followed with 12. Carolyn Keleher led in rebounds with 11.

The Chaps allowed Milwaukee Area TC to shoot just 20.5 percent from the field in final 20 minutes.

Bethany Imlah had eight points, Keleher seven and
Allycia Ellis six.

The Chaparrals are at Harper College on Wednesday night.
