Chaps own a winning streak

Box Score College of DuPage won its second straight game for the first time since November, thanks to a stellar fourth-quarter effort in its 52-42 win over Harper College in N4C women's play Wednesday night.
 
Four Chaparrals scored in double figures with sophomore Jessica Jnobaptiste's 18 leading the way. Allycia Ellis was next with 12 and Lea Ritchie and Warda Niaz each had 10.
 
The Chaparrals' defense paid off with nine steals in the final quarter. Jnobaptiste had four in the quarter. All told, the Hawks had 36 turnovers for the game.
 
In the fourth quarter, the Chaparrals took control with a 10-0 run that put them in control with 4:26 left and leading 42-36.
 
The Chaps are now 5-19 overall and 2-8 in the N4C. They are at Madison College on Saturday.
