A two-run, walk-off home run from St. Louis Community College provided a downer for the Chaparrals on Saturday in their 5-3 eighth inning loss to the Archers during Spring Break play in Titusville, Fla.

Later, the Chaparrals lost to Suffolk College 10-0 in five innings. The Chaps (3-12 overall) complete their 12-game week-long series of games in the Sunshine State on Sunday with a doubleheader against Iowa Central. First pitch is 8:30 a.m. Central time.

Madison Briggs in the sixth inning put the Chaps 2-1, but it wasn't enough.

The Archers tied the game at 2-2 in their half of the sixth, and the game was pushed into the eighth.

Ashley Eiremann delivered a two-out, run-scoring single to second that scored Koska, who was placed at second to begin the inning and the Chaps led 3-2. But the Archers scored three runs on two hits that included the game-winning two-run homer.

Kiara Negron added a double for the Chaparrals, who had seven hits.
