The Chaps took on some tough competition Friday afternoon, losing 3-0 to Bryant and Stratton College and 3-0 to Minnesota State Community and Technical College during opening day play of the COD Invitational.

Mikayla Wassell each had five kills, but they were not enough in the Chaps' 25-11, 25-18, 25-21 defeat. The Chaps were solid on their serving, throwing down nine aces.
Kiara Negron and Wassell each had three aces.
Melody Raices had two aces. Defensively,
Maddie Shulski had 12 digs.

Wassell's seven kills topped the Chaps' charts in their 25-22, 25-11, 25-12 defeat. Shulski led with a season-high five service aces, while Wassell added three and Negron two. All 13 of the Chaps' assists belonged to Raices.
