Khyre Hines led the Chaparrals with a game-high 23 points, but host Wright College was too strong in the second in its 68-54 win in N4C men's basketball Saturday afternoon.
 
Wright and the Chaps were tied at 31-31 at halftime, but the Rams pulled away in the final 20 minutes and eventually led by 17.
 
Joe Bell scored seven points with a season-high 14 rebounds. Evan Wagner-Talley scored six points and shared team-high rebound honors with Bell. Patrick Shaughnessy added six points.
 
The Chaps outrebounded the Rams, 56-43.
 
COD plays host to Harper College on Wednesday on Sophomore Night.
