Mike Wagner drove in three runs with two hits and 
Patrick Doran ripped a pinch-hit home run as the Chaps earned a come-from-behind 7-5 victory over Union County College during continuing play at the Ripken Experience Spring Break tourney Monday in Myrtle Beach.
 
And then for good measure, the Chaps earned their second victory in as many days over No. 6 Northampton in a 17-5 drubbing.
 
COD, now 3-2 overall, is off Tuesday and resumes play Wednesday against Salem Community College and Penn State Mont Alto.
 
COD 7, Union County 5
The Chaps trailed 5-0 entering their half of the fifth and that's when they got back into the game. They scored three runs in the fifth, and then scored go-ahead runs during their four-run sixth.
 
Jackson Gray and 
Seth Borden also had doubles. 
Zion Baker and Gray drove in a run apiece.
 
Jake Berger struck out one in two innings. 
Matt Anderson had three strikeouts in two innings of one-hit relief. 
Adam Scheid earned the victory with two strikeouts in 2 1/3 innings. 
Ian Pickell secured the save, facing five batters in 2/3 of an inning.
 
COD 17, Northampton 5
The Chaps scored 17 runs on 17 hits with two home runs from 
Seth Borden, and one each from 
Giovanni Lopez and Gray.
 
Gray led the Chaps at the plate, going 4-for-4 with three RBI. Lopez had three hits with four RBI and 
Justin Dunne had three hits with three RBI. Borden, Gray and Dunne all doubled.
 
Nick Stacey earned the victory with 4 1/3 innings of work. He scattered seven hits and struck out three. All four runs allowed were earned. Pickell struck out two in 1 1/3 innings.
