The Chaps (18-10 overall) face the Golden Eagles (23-6 overall), who had their 11-match unbeaten streak end Friday night in a 3-0 home loss to Sauk Valley.
 
When the Chaps and Golden Eagles last met, coach Tolis Koskinaris's team was dealt a tough 3-2 loss (19-25, 18-25. 26-24, 25-20, 12-15) in which the Chaps climbed back after being on the brink of losing in three sets.
 
"We're approaching our stretch drive of the season and we want to play at our best,'' Koskinaris said. "We've learned a lot about ourselves and we've been tested. Tomorrow night will be a challenge and we'll be up for it.''
 
The Chaps rank third in the country in team kills (1,086), and are led by freshman Alyssa Fountain, who ranks fifth in that category with 262. Grace Franz is right behind with 256 and ranks eighth. Emily DeBlecourt is 13^th with 210.
 
Libero Jordyn Stammeyer is tied for first in service aces (70) and eighth in digs with 328.
 
Setting up her teammates is Hanah Friel, who is fourth in assists with 744.
 
Defensively, Jessica Juerke ranks first in the division in block assists with 43. Ava Garcia is second with 41.
 
Last weekend at South Suburban
The Chaps split their two matches in the annual Dig Pink Tourney, defeating host South Suburban 3-1 and losing 3-1 to Division 2 member Southeastern Community.
