Chaps take control in 3-0 win

Box Score A quick, 60-minute match was all about the No. 6 Chaparrals on Tuesday night as they defeated visiting Milwaukee Area Technical College 3-0 in N4C and Region 4 volleyball.
 
The victory pushes the Chaps to a 19-11 record heading into Thursday's home match against Harper.
 
Alyssa Fountain had eight kills with three service aces to lead the Chaps in their 25-16, 25-19, 25-20 victory.
 
"Everyone got in tonight and we earned a workman-like win,'' Chaps head coach Tolis Koskinaris said. "Our setters were on and set up well.''
 
Mikayla Comperda also had eight kills, while the Chaps received 23 assists from Hanah Friel and 11 from Angelina Saathoff.
 
Jordyn Stammeyer led defensively with 11 digs.
 
The Chaps, who took the opening set after grabbing a 15-8 lead, took control in the second. The set was tied at 10-10, before COD reeled off eight straight points and never looked back.
