Clutch play inside the final five minutes of play resulted in a Chaps' 60-52 victory over visiting College of Lake County in Region 4 men's play Tuesday night.
 
Drew Gaston led the Chaps with 19 points with Donnell Fraley (13) and Joel Boasiako (12) also scoring in double figures as COD improved to 4-4 overall heading into Saturday's game at Kankakee.
 
The Chaps and Lancers were tied at 49-49 with 6:07 left in the game. Gaston triggered a 12-0 run, followed by six straight points from Boasiako and the Chaps led 61-49 with 33 seconds to go.
 
COD defended well in that stretch as Lake County missed six straight field goal attempts during the Chaps' successful run.
 
Fraley and Alexie Vlahos each had four assists and Boasiako added four steals.
 
The Lancers never led by more than four in the first half and by more than two in the second half.
