The good times keep rolling for the Chaparrals, who took the Joliet JC / Mizuno Tournament championship in four matches played Saturday and Sunday.

Tolis Koskinaris's team improved to 12-4 overall on the season and victors in 11 of their 12 matches. The Chaps opened with 3-1 and 3-0 victories over Lansing (Mich.) Community College and South Suburban, respectively, and then stepped up with five-set victories over Joliet and Kaskaskia on Sunday.

The Chaps return to Joliet to face the Wolves in N4C play, and then move outside of region play this weekend when they travel to Brenham, Texas, to play in the Blinn College Tourney. Blinn was ranked No. 3 in NJCAA Division I the week of Sept. 6.
